How laminate floors are constructed

These floors are made by fusing layers of wood-based materials using heat and high pressure to create a solid piece of flooring. These floors are constructed with four layers, each of which plays a vital role in the realistic appearance and structural integrity of the floor. The surface wear layer provides strong protection against water damage, stains, scratches, and fading; followed by a photographic decorative layer that gives it a realistic and natural appearance. The core layer is made up of high density pressed wood fiberboard which protects against indentations and water damage. The layer at the bottom provides stability, resists moisture, and enhances the floor’s surface. You can count on these floors to stand up to heavy traffic while maintaining its radiant color.

They are an ideal flooring option for high traffic areas and homes with pets and children. They have a wear rating ranging from AC1 for home use with minimal traffic to AC5, which is the most wear-resistant class. Our flooring specialists will help you choose the AC rating that works best for your needs.
